Together We Have the Power

Welcome to your investment future!

Missouri Utility Shareholders Association provides an opportunity for investors and customers to be more aware of the challenges and opportunities facing the utility industries, their investors and customers. Through newsletters and meetings, we will see what is going on from the grass roots to the board rooms.

MUSA promotes cooperation among utility companies and their shareholders (investors) and customers. The Missouri Utility Shareholders Association (MUSA) is a nonpartisan organization that represents the collective interests of its utility shareholder members.

MUSA members, whether they live in the Show-Me State or another locale, are interested in promoting and protecting their investment by taking an active role in issues that affect the electric and gas utility industries in Missouri.

MUSA addresses utility issues from the balanced perspective of its members —investors, customers, and responsible citizen.

Greetings from the MUSA Chair

I feel as if I can see a bigger picture than my light switch and thermostat. I currently serve as Chair of MUSA representing Empire District Electric in Joplin. I started my career in the construction industry, heavy highway, and commercial construction. The last two projects were the Discover Center Addition and the first green above-ground building in Springfield and the restoration of the 1926 Gillioz Theatre, the ultimate re-cycling project! In addition to MUSA, I serve as a board member of two other statewide organizations, Missouri Preservation and Earthshare Missouri. I have been on the board of directors for Metropolitan National Bank, a community bank serving Barton, Christian, Green, Stone and Taney Counties. I returned "home" several years ago and have enjoyed being back "to my roots." I live in my childhood home in Ozark where the head of the household is an orange marmalade name AJ. I look forward to leading MUSA into the future and hope you will join me in protecting our investment future and energy future.
